  1. Media Player : What is a comp without some music? Get the most versatile player that plays almost anything … introducing the VLC Media Player. Its the most powerful player of all.(http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ )
  2. Codec Pack : Don’t forget to install the K-Kite codec pack… in order to play all media formats (http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/)
  3. Antivirus : Ah… the most important software of all. There are two which is good. First is AVG Antivirus Free Edition (http://free.grisoft.com/) and the second is Avast Anitivirus Home Edition (http://filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/)
