Dextera @ Asymptote’09 by MIT

Was occupied by the Online Treasure Hunt called Dextera of Asymptote’09. Its the tech fest organized by MIT, Anna University, Chrompet. In my opinion, the site is not upto the mark and the FORUM seriously needs a makeover! its user-unfriendly if you know what i mean…. the forum has a captcha verification for namesake and i was able to delete other’s posts … LOL. so dear MITians, if anyone of you is reading this. Then please for heaven’s sake get a life and improve it next year!

The sole purpose behind this post is to help those struggling souls are about to drop dead due to frustration ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t worry guys am here to save you. I can only help only till a certain level beyond which helping becomes a crime… he he

Ok here it goes…

Level 1:

You should have known the answer right away!!

Well, this isn’t an obvious answer unless you are used to such treasure hunts. Just run off to the rules page. ITALICS will bless you with the answer ๐Ÿ˜›

Level 2:

Lisbon treaty, Some flags shown, a number ’27’ in src code. Wiki about ‘Lisbon treaty’. the answer is a combination of the two letter short form for the nations involved in signing this treaty and the number of countries that have been accepted(its not 27, but less than that)

Level 3:

The creator deserves more than the creation! man800ker! its the name of the person who got the manbooker award for 2008!

Level 4:

Believe in the reality of cats and apples – google who spoke these lines and for which company he works. find its connection with alexander’s past.

Level 5:

Get a list of F1 champions from wiki, try each one’s name by brute force ๐Ÿ˜›ย  HINT: starts with ‘a’ and ends with ‘t’

Level 6:

Decode the text given in source using Caesar’s Shifts with a particular base (dont remember which number). It ll give out the name of the director of the movie. Movie’s name is answer!

Level 7:

unjumble the 4 letters to form a place in India. Associate the natural calamity that happened there.

Level 8:

a lame level! an english movie featuring ancient rome sword fighters! if dont know this.. just quit !

Level 9:

“Charlie met Hitler at the Circle Club at Vietnam” – this needs a fair amount of googling and wiki-ing. its how the german tyrant died in 1975 in Vietnam. Don’t go loco in trying to figure out what charlie means.. the answer is just one word.

Level 10:

The answer is not associated with environmental/global issues! its the name of ‘the’ band which sung ‘For the World’ and ‘ Hot Issue’

Level 11:

Saturday Night Watergate massacre – the name for a series of scandals done by one of the presidents of a nation. A bad time cuz the president had abused Indira Gandhi who was in power at that time. and only his surname to be entered here!

Level 12:

Shhh! – signifies something ‘quiet’ + revolution = quiet revolution. ‘three men’ shown are associated with it. wiki for the answer. the extreme two pics are taken from wiki itself. you hav to be ‘wise’ and ‘patient’ enough to get through this ๐Ÿ˜›

Level 13:

this level is one the admin’s shortfall! the answer doesnt relate to the clues given at all. The answer is a one word Tom cruise movie. Goto IMDb to find it ๐Ÿ˜€

Level 14:

the picture depicts an year written in chinese, mandarin to be exact ๐Ÿ˜›

figure out what key u can associate with ‘help’ on keyboard. and ‘pix’ has an R missing, get it ?ย  the answer is name of the two tournaments which were cancelled in that year. the name as in only the first part of the each ofย  tournament’s name without modification as indicated by ‘Lexical’

Level 15:

Aha! a task for a physics genius! well, not quite exactly. Just split them into individual fractions and figure out the letter of the quantity from physics equations that can be replaced for each fraction. just a five letter word.

Level 16:……….
